Comment on Recent Fatal Incidents of Family Violence

The Collaborative Commission on Domestic Violence expresses its sympathy and support.

SAN ANTONIO (May 28, 2026) – The Collaborative Commission on Domestic Violence (CCDV) expresses its sympathy and support for family members affected by another loss of life due to family violence in our community on May 22, 2026. This, and several other recent deaths, remind us that family violence impacts everyone. The solutions are not simple because the circumstances are often complex.

The CCDV was established to formally convene local leaders in government, the judiciary, law enforcement, prosecution, non-profits, education, and health care organizations to improve the domestic violence prevention and response system in Bexar County. As we continue to partner across the community in this endeavor, our members are available to provide interviews regarding domestic violence dynamics, resources, and local laws and processes, such as protective orders, bonds, and firearm surrender policies.
