Highlights show expanded reach, stronger systems, and a continued push for improved prevention and intervention.
SAN ANTONIO (May 26, 2026) – The Collaborative Commission on Domestic Violence (CCDV) released its 2025 Annual Progress Report, highlighting progress in system coordination, public awareness, and prevention efforts across Bexar County. The report will be presented to Bexar County Commissioners Court today, May 26.
“Domestic violence is preventable, and this work shows that coordinated, community-wide action makes a difference,” said María Villagómez, Deputy City Manager for the City of San Antonio and CCDV Co-Chair. “We expanded our reach, strengthened partnerships, and made sure more people know where to go for help.”
In 2025, the CCDV’s coordinated communications campaign generated more than 58 million impressions, while expanded media, digital, and community outreach increased awareness of domestic violence resources—especially among underserved populations.
“We are seeing what’s possible when systems align and partners move together, even in the face of adversity,” said Honorable Judge Monique Diaz, 150th Civil District Court and CCDV Co-Chair. “But we also know there is more to do, particularly in strengthening prevention efforts, and ensuring voices of those affected by violence shape every solution.”
The report also highlights progress in improving data systems, advancing a community-wide assessment, and laying the groundwork for a Lived Experience Advisory Board to better center those most impacted by domestic violence.
As the CCDV moves forward in 2026, the emphasis continues to focus on turning progress into sustained action—using data, deepening collaboration and communication, and advancing prevention across the lifespan.
