City of San Antonio Will Conduct Security Exercise

City Hall and City Council Chambers will be closed to visitors from 1-4 p.m. on July 29.

SAN ANTONIO (July 29, 2025) – The City of San Antonio will conduct a routine security training exercise to simulate a real-world active shooter incident. City Hall and City Council Chambers will be closed to visitors from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, for the training. 

Elected officials and staff who work in City Hall will participate in the exercise, which will begin in City Council Chambers and move to City Hall.
