City of San Antonio Seeks Public Input on Hazard Mitigation Plan

A community survey is open through July 31 with virtual public meetings scheduled for July 6, 7 and 8.

SAN ANTONIO (June 29, 2026) – The City of San Antonio Office of Emergency Management (SAOEM) invites residents to share their input and experiences in a survey to help inform future disaster preparedness efforts. The online survey is currently open at SASpeakUp.com through Friday, July 31, 2026, and it will take approximately six minutes to complete.  

Community feedback will help shape updates to the City’s Hazard Mitigation Plan, which guides San Antonio in preparing for, responding to, and reducing the impacts of natural and man-made hazards. The updated plan will guide future projects and provide strategies to reduce risks, improve resilience, and protect people, property, and critical infrastructure. 

In July, the Office of Emergency Management will host three virtual public meetings via Zoom, allowing residents to learn more about the planning process and provide input. Registration links and Zoom details are available at SASpeakUp.com.
