Overnight Shelter Options Continue for Unsheltered Neighbors Through Tuesday Night
SAN ANTONIO (January 26, 2026) – The City of San Antonio will resume regular operations on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, as weather conditions improve and the City transitions back to normal service delivery.
All City facilities and non-essential operations are expected to reopen and return to standard schedules Tuesday.
Over the weekend, residents continued using City warming locations, with 47 people staying overnight at the City’s six Resilience Hubs Saturday night into Sunday morning, and 70 residents utilizing the hubs Sunday night into Monday morning.
Temporary overnight shelters, including those operated in partnership with local nonprofits, also saw increased use, serving 398 unhoused neighbors the first night and 434 the following night.
The City remains grateful to residents, staff, and partners for their cooperation and support throughout the cold weather response.
The City of San Antonio and its partners will continue offering overnight shelter for unhoused neighbors and their pets on Monday and Tuesday nights at all previously activated shelter locations. In addition, Corazon San Antonio will provide space for up to 100 people at Travis Park Church on both nights, bringing the community’s total overnight shelter capacity to approximately 600 individuals.
To provide around-the-clock support, the Community Connections Hotline will operate 24 hours a day Monday and Tuesday, helping connect individuals to shelter, outreach teams, transportation, and other critical services.
Residents can call the Community Connections Hotline at 210-207-1799. For the latest updates and cold weather resources, visit SA.gov/ColdWeather or call 3-1-1 (210-207-6000).
