City, LiftFund Launch New Zero Percent Interest Rate Loan Program

SAN ANTONIO (November 17, 2025) – The City of San Antonio, in partnership with LiftFund, has launched a new Zero Percent Interest Rate Loan Program to help small business owners access affordable capital to start, sustain, and grow their businesses. This initiative continues a partnership between the City and LiftFund that began in 2016, which has already delivered more than $13.1 million in funding to 415 local entrepreneurs.
LiftFund will host a free information session to guide potential applicants through the program’s eligibility requirements, application process, and allowable uses of funds on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 1 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to program staff and receive tips on preparing a successful loan application. This year’s program allocates $500,000 to buy down interest on loans ranging from $500 to $100,000 for eligible businesses within San Antonio city limits. Funds may be used for working capital, equipment, inventory, or startup expenses, with a focus on supporting entrepreneurs who may not qualify for traditional financing options. The Zero Percent Interest Rate Loan Program is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to providing pathways for small businesses to build stability and expand operations. Priority will be given to businesses that have been unable to secure traditional commercial financing and that plan to create at least one full-time job as a result of the loan.
