SAN ANTONIO (June 30, 2025) — The City of San Antonio invites the community to visit Houston Street, Historic Market Square and La Villita Historic Arts Village this July for fun summer events and to celebrate the Fourth of July.

While enjoying La Villita and Market Square events, don't forget to stop inside their stores to shop for one-of-a-kind treasures.

July Fourth Events

Market Square Fourth of July Celebration
July 4-6, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; free
Celebrate a star-spangled weekend at Historic Market Square! This three-day celebration includes food and artisan vendors, live entertainment, and festive games. For more information, visit the Market Square event page.

Stars & Stripes on Houston Street Parade
Friday, July 4; free
Parade begins at 11 a.m. at Legacy Park, 103 W. Houston St., and ends at Travis Park, 301 E. Travis St.; view parade route
Bring your patriotic spirit to the heart of downtown San Antonio! Stars & Stripes on Houston Street is San Antonio's vibrant parade that brings festive fanfare and star-spangled spirit to historic Houston Street. Bring your own chair or grab a seat at a nearby restaurant to enjoy the parade along the route. For more information, visit the event website.

Market Days in La Villita Fourth of July Celebration

July 4-5, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; free
Get ready for a star-spangled celebration of Market Days in La Villita. The event features family-friendly fun with live music, local vendors, and delicious eats from La Gloria – tacos, margaritas, raspas, and more. For more information, visit the event website.

Fiesta Noche del Rio

The Alamo Kiwanis presents its annual Fiesta Noche del Rio featuring a cultural performance of artists at La Villita's Arneson River Theatre. For more information and tickets, visit the event website.

Downtown can get busy, so make a plan. Take public transportation, rideshare, taxis, bike, walk, or consult Google Maps or Waze before you leave. Visit the City's Know Before You Go Downtown website for helpful resources and parking information. VIA Metropolitan Transit offers its Link ride-sharing service for $1.30 a ride within its downtown service area zone.

For easy, convenient, and affordable parking, visit the City's SAPark website.The parking map provides a full list of City-owned garages and lots.TheSt. Mary's Garage (205 E. Travis St.)and theCity Tower Garage (60 N. Flores St.)are located just steps from the River Walk, Houston Street and Travis Park and they generally have many parking spots.Downtown Tuesday offers free parking on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. in City-owned parking facilities, and City Tower Sundays offers free parking on Sundays from 7 a.m. to midnight at the City Tower Garage (60 N. Flores St.).
