Family-friendly to very scary—pick the comfort level with events at SAPL locations.
SAN ANTONIO (October 15, 2025) — San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) is celebrating Halloween with fun events, programs and activities for all ages throughout October. From cute dogs dressed in Halloween costumes to scary movie watch parties, there is something for everyone. Activities are happening now through October 31 at SAPL locations throughout Bexar County. Central Spooktacular

Join this family-friendly Halloween Celebration for a variety of fun, age-appropriate games and interactive stations, including Halloween-themed Lotería and candy giveaways.
Monsters and Makeup with Miguel
October 21, 4 – 7 p.m.
San Pedro Library, 1315 San Pedro Ave., 78212
Learn the tricks and trades of monster makeup from professional makeup artist Miguel Cantu, featuring a live demonstration. Miguel has been doing monster makeup and prosthetics in the film industry for more than 20 years.
Landa Boo: Let’s Party!
