Collaborative Commission on Domestic Violence Releases 2024 Annual Statistical Data Report. The information highlights domestic violence trends in Bexar County.

SAN ANTONIO (December 2, 2025) — The Collaborative Commission on Domestic Violence (CCDV) today released its 2024 Annual Statistical Data Report, providing a comprehensive, multi-agency look at the prevalence, impact, and response to domestic violence across Bexar County. Now in its fourth year, the report offers critical insights into the continued challenges faced by survivors, families, and service providers—while underscoring the importance of coordinated community action.

Domestic violence remains a pressing public health and safety concern in San Antonio, Bexar County, and across the nation. It affects individuals of all races, sexual orientations, ages, relationship statuses, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Abuse can take many forms—physical, sexual, emotional, and financial—and research shows a strong connection between intimate partner violence and long-term negative health outcomes.

In response to the City of San Antonio’s 2018 gap analysis of domestic violence services, the CCDV was established to strengthen prevention, intervention, and support systems—while also improving access to city and countywide data that is reliable.

The 2024 Annual Statistical Data Report highlights both the magnitude of domestic violence in Bexar County and the collective efforts of agencies working together to save lives, support those impacted by family violence, and reduce future violence. The data underscore the ongoing need for coordinated, evidence-driven strategies to address a complex issue affecting thousands of families every year.

“Domestic violence is not only a criminal justice issue—it is a public health crisis that requires a unified, compassionate, and data-informed response,” said Bexar County Judge Monique Diaz, CCDV Co-Chair.

“We remain committed to transparency, collaboration, and meaningful action to ensure every person in our community has access to safety, support, and hope,” said Maria Villagomez, Deputy City Manager of the City of San Antonio and CCDV Co-Chair.
