Neighborhood Associations, Community Organizations invited to register with City to stay informed on municipal happenings

SAN ANTONIO (February 6, 2023) — The City of San Antonio’s Communications & Engagement Department invites all neighborhood associations, homeowner associations, and community organizations to register their group with the City.

“I encourage all local associations and organizations to join the City’s registry to get information and news straight from the City,” said Alanna Reed, Communications & Engagement Director. “Our registry is a great way to find out about upcoming events, policy changes, ways to engage with the City and information during emergencies.”

The Association and Organization Registry serves as a communications tool for City departments, Council Districts and the community. The City uses the registry to let registered groups know of news and events in their area. Groups will also receive updates during emergency situations to share with their members.

Registered groups can also receive notices from the Development Services Department about development, including zoning and planning cases. Registered groups enjoy other benefits such as no cost reservations for meeting space at City libraries and invitations to special City events and programs. The publicly available registry also allows residents, developers, and groups to connect with each other.

For more information or to register, visit the Association & Organization Registry website.
