Holiday Music at San Antonio International Airport Hits a High Note

‘Christmas in July’ Surprise Brings Smiles, Joy and a Chance to Win a Golden Ticket for Travelers at San Antonio International Airport

San Antonio (Dec. 7, 2022) – A sentimental San Antonio tradition is celebrating 30 years at San Antonio International Airport (SAT). The Annual Holiday Music Festival brings in local children to perform for travelers in Terminal B’s Baggage Claim area. For some of the young musicians, it’s the first time they’ve ever been to the airport or performed publicly.
 
From bands, choirs and orchestras to mariachi and church groups decked out in holiday attire, there’s a variety of performers greeting travelers arriving at SAT during the holidays. The airport is also sporting new holiday décor with inflatable characters and wreaths throughout the terminals. The live music gives SAT a genuine feel for those visiting who least expect it.
 
“This program makes people turn and smile,” said Clay White, Customer Experience Manager, San Antonio International Airport. “The kids are so excited to get this unique opportunity to perform at the airport. It’s a happy memory they’ll carry throughout their lives.”
 
The 30th Annual Holiday Music Festival runs until Dec. 12.
