SAN ANTONIO (May 23, 2023) - Regular pet vaccinations provide protection from disease, and San Antonio residents are urged to take advantage of the City’s newest shot clinics for dogs and cats. San Antonio Animal Care Services and Protect Your Pet veterinary services are partnering on the new clinics, augmenting existing resource opportunities throughout the city. The collaboration will kick off Saturday, May 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the shelter located at 4710 State Highway 151.

Additional clinics will be held throughout the summer, offering core canine and feline vaccinations and registered microchips, legally required in San Antonio. No appointments are needed, but services are available only for City of San Antonio residents with a picture ID and current address. Pet owners should ensure their pets are on a leash with a properly fitting collar or in an appropriate carrier. Free vaccinations and microchips are available while supplies last.
