A Premier Conference to Promote Diversity and Inclusion for Minorities and Women in the Aviation and Aerospace Industries Through Education, Advocacy and Networking Opportunities

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 10, 2023)—The Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) and San Antonio International Airport (SAT) will host the 38th Annual AMAC Airport Business Diversity Conference: Cultivate. Innovate. Elevate. from June 10-14, 2023 in San Antonio, TX. This conference is a premier aviation industry-wide event drawing thousands of businesses, aviation professionals, government officials and individuals from around the country, creating a hub for education, advocacy and networking opportunities to promote diversity and inclusion in the aviation and aerospace industries.

The conference theme, “Cultivate. Innovate. Elevate,” is about action and engaging with AMAC’s mission to advance the full participation of minorities and women in employment and contracting opportunities throughout the aviation and aerospace industries. Cultivate is the acquisition of skills and knowledge with the application of developing a better environment. It is about fostering opportunities, possibilities and strong outcomes. Innovate brings in the idea of change and transformation. Elevate connects the aerospace and aviation industry while advancing the concept of raising everything to a higher, more unique position.

“We are beyond excited to serve as the host city where our diverse community is known for cultivating so much culture and pride. You see it the moment you arrive at SAT, and you can feel it at Stinson Municipal Airport (the second-oldest general aviation airport in continuous operation in the U.S.) too,” said Jesus H. Saenz, Director of Airports, San Antonio Airport System. “The conference theme fits our airports’ goals to a tee: Cultivate. Innovate. Elevate. Those actions are incorporated into our mission and vision as we are expanding SAT by adding a third terminal as part of the Terminal Development Program. The timing of this particular conference couldn’t be better as we want to attract a diverse group of firms to achieve success.”
